My wife and I ended up staying on Lanai when we needed to move from Maui/ Lahaina when the wild fires burned down the hotel we were supposed to stay at. Our plan was to ferry over to Lanai, but instead, we flew in and stayed two days. …
Very nice hotel but if you get one of the rooms in front of the hotel expect music playing outside your window at night :) the front yard of the hotel seems to be a local gathering spot
Cute, quiet, and cozy little hotel! Easy walking distance to Lanai City and a quick drive to beaches, views, and hikes. The beds were insanely comfortable, the rooms were spotless and surprisingly high-tech (bidet toilet with heated seat, variety of light and curtain settings, etc.), and the TV and room fridge were great to have. We also loved the blackout curtains and the 12pm check-out time. Sadly, the attached restaurant wasn’t open the days of our stay (closed Sun-Mon), but with easy access to dining in town this was no problem. Simple and appreciated continental breakfast served daily.
A couple notes for future guests / things that could enhance this place even more:
- This is the countryside, so roosters will crow as early as 3am! Having earplugs as a light sleeper came in handy.
- We paid extra for a lanai room only to discover that it overlooks the (albeit tiny) parking lot. In our opinion it wasn’t worth it and actually felt less private than the garden rooms probably did.
- I don’t know if it was just our room, but the door to the lanai and the sliding door to the bathroom were quite heavy. It was okay for us, but I kept thinking that for older folks or anyone with shoulder issues this could be a hazard.
- Since this is a small hotel, be aware that you won’t have access to staff 24/7. Also, make sure to schedule your check-in time accurately to ensure someone’s at the desk when you arrive.
- The trash can in the room was tiny. Luckily we had packed our own trash bags for food containers, etc., but a bigger trash can would have definitely come in handy.
Despite its quirks, this place was a great stay overall and a wonderful option if you’re looking for a chill, affordable vacation in Lanai!
Nice place. Friendly staff. The toilets are insanely nice for people that care about that. Automatic shades. Cool feature I guess.
For anyone that has trouble with soft beds, these are the softest beds possible. Your back will kill you for the entirety of your stay.
No microwaves In rooms. We brought food over from Maui in hopes to save a little money. Front desk gave us hot water. Haven’t ask much anything more.
No public grill or bbq.
Trash can is maybe the size of a gallon jug. Not a huge deal really at all but we have had to use a paper bag and take it to the lobby.
I feel that with a few smaller upgrades that the hotel could do for little to almost no cost could definitely improve the stay. So much money spent on luxury electronics but a few things could make it much more functional and not just a place to take a shower and lay your head
Great comfortable, sleepy hotel worth the price on Lanai. I don't feel I got the level of service the other reviewers did. The 3 different ladies working the desk were all awkward or gave me the cold shoulder.
A quaint little spot with a fantastic restaurant. I stayed here for a week, and while the rooms are small, they are well appointed and comfortable. I had a room with a porch, and it was definitely a plus. The staff are super nice, and it feels just right in the evening for winding down after a long day. Top notch experience.
Stayed four days, which was a tad too long. I am glad that I came to Lanai. The highlight was a tour with just me and an esteemed local resident , Alberta de Jetkey. She was superb. | As for the hotel, it is kind of unusual and is …
Cutest little hotel. Very accommodating. Nicole, especially! She saved us by giving us a lift to the cat sanctuary after none of the cab companies were answering. The attached bar/restaurant is also fantastic.
